Easter Monday - Our Visit with Debbie

Hi Gang,

We dropped Sean off to the train in lots of time. It was very busy, but he should get a good seat. Aoife and I were a bit sad on the way home. We will miss him.

We did some shopping and then we called to No.7, to visit Debbie. We had coffee and a nice chat. Debbie gave Aoife some lovely materials for her project. Aoife was delighted because all the shops in town were closed and she did need a few bits and pieces for the ubiquitous, "Sleeping Fisherman". Debbie saved the day.

We are very excited, as the day of the birth fast approaches. You'd want to see the nursery girls. It is absolutely amazing!

I'll write more soon,
Dad

I have awoken after my usual afternoon nap to a strangely silent and empty apartment. The girls having gone to Nizwa earlier in the day with Abdullah. I don't really know what I'll do with myself this evening.

My road pass has still not come through and this is a real and serious worry, as without it I cannot drive to Dubai on Thursday. Have not said anything to the girls about it yet as they would only worry. Come on, all you beloved deceased of both families and work a wee miracle for us from heaven that it will come through in time.

If it doesn't however, I do have some contingency plans. I could ask Michael if he could drive them and I could fly up, if I can get a seat on a flight at such short notice, Failing that, they could go on the bus and do the trip without me, although I think that might be a bit nerve wrecking for them as Dubai is a vast, sprawling and very busy city which takes a bit of getting used to, compared to sleepy little Muscat.

OK. All together and PRAY for my road pass to come through before close of working week on Wednesday afternoon....

Love from an anxious uncle James.
