Well guys, it was great to chat with all 3 of you for once. I know you have an early start tomorrow. You poor things have to go diving early, with the sharks and exotic species, in the Arabian Sea. What a great start to an Easter Sunday! I believe that will be followed by an Easter celebration at Chez Johar, such as you have never before experienced. Stick with the programme and enjoy ever second!
Aoife, Sean and I watched a most compelling and disturbing movie tonight. Basically, it was about war in your region. Wow, the sheer Ineptitude and futility of U.S. foreign policy was so stark, as to be totally surreal. The movie was "Jarhead". Man, but life is scary, if only we knew the truth.
My ham is almost cooked, in prep for tomorrow. I shall arise early to cook my turkey and prepare my stuffings etc.
I am so thrilled that you are loving and living the Arabian experience.
Love,
Dad/John xo xo xo

Morning to all and a very Happy Easter to you all also. I got the morning off in order to take the girls to the Marina for their try dive. It's going to be a real adventure for them which I'm sure they will really enjoy. They have an underwater camera with which to take snaps to remember this treat.
I will collect them at 2:30 (11:30) your time) bring them home to "Easter Egg Surprise". When they open their gourmet eggs, from Muscat Intercontinental hotel's deli, they will find 3 jigsaws inside, which, when put together, will tell them that 1, they are going to Dubai for the weekend(ie. Thurs and Fri night) 2, while there, they will spend Friday at Wild Wadi water park and 3, on Sat. they will be skiing in the largest indoor ski slope in Asia. I think that should elicit a few wows and oooh's.... And later this evening, after experiencing multi-cultural Easter Services in the church, which is very near my place,we will go to Terry's for a relaxed, informal, poolside dinner.
Abdullah phoned last night and has offered to take them to Nizwa on Monday afternoon, stay the night there and next day go up Jebel Shams, Oman's highest mountain at 2990 meters, where they will see the rose gardens being harvested etc etc. That will be a real treat for them too, especially having Abdullah to explain all to them. Are ye jealous yet?
Well, that's about it from here for now. Yes, I can view the blog at work and am keeping the ladies current with it as already explained, my ancient computer takes hours to download it.
Bye for now, Happy Easter again,
Love from all here to all there.
XXXXXXXX's.
P.S. Bears are wearing beautiful yellow ribbons for Easter and send big bear hugs and XXXX's too.
